Haleh Bridi

EXPERTISE: anti-corruption

Haleh Bridi is the Chair of the Partnership for Transparency – Europe, a not-for-profit organization which advances citizen-led approaches to increase transparency and reduce corruption in developing countries.

Previously, Haleh worked at the World Bank for close to 30 years and held several managerial positions including Director for External Relations and Partnerships, Africa Region, Country Director for the Indian Ocean Department (Africa), Director, Regional Programs and Partnerships in the MENA and Director for Advisory Services at IFC.

Prior to joining the World Bank, Haleh spent 10 years at the OPEC Fund for International Development covering the OPEC Fund’s development operations in Francophone African countries.

Haleh is a national of Iran and has lived in many countries in Europe, US and Africa.  She has an MA in International Studies from the American University in Washington DC.
