Marie-Carin holds a PhD in political sciences and is a certified compliance officer. For 10 years she has worked for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) with duty stations in Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Balkans.

Since 2012, she works as a free-lance consultant conducting evaluations and impact assessments. She assists civil society organisations introducing anti-corruption: analysing corruption risks, introducing anti-corruption rules and regulations, communicating anti-corruption, managing and sanctioning corruption cases, and reporting on corruption.
